Kailash Manas Yatra : 15 Days Trekking Return By Helicopter

This trip is actually meant for those religious aspirants who are also endowed with a sense of adventure and a keen desire to unravel the mysteries of the unknown. This is a very exclusive tour plan that has been specially designed to take care of the most important hurdle that one has to overcome for successfully completing this pilgrimage - namely altitude sickness. The visitors trek their way till Manasarovar with 5 - 6 hrs. of trek everyday on Ancient Silk Route or you can say trading route alongside the Karnali River. It enables them not only to enjoy the beautiful and unique landscapes of isolated Humla Valley, but also prepares them to do the Kailash Parikrama successfully with minimum discomfort. The return journey is done by chartered helicopter to save the time as well as come back in relaxed way after the adventure of onward trek.

Place to Visit : Reporting Place Nepalgun – Semikot – Tulin – Kermi – Yangar – Tumkot – Torea – Sipsip – Hilsa - Taklakot – Manasarovar – Diraphuk – Zuthulphuk – Taklakot – Nepaljunj – Lucknow.

Day 01 : Lucknow – Nepalgunj ( by Road )
Arrival Lucknow by Flight / Train and drive to Nepalgunj (3 hrs 30 min Drive) and transfer to Hotel Siddharth. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02 :  Nepalgunj - Simikot (  STOL Aircraft) Simikot (2985m)
Early morning check out with baggage and proceed to board the flight for Nepalgunj. We shall start day early so that on arrival we fly same day to Simikot before 11:00 hrs. During afternoon, group shall visit local Charitable Hospital run by Dr. Yeshe Lama that serves the people from villages around Simikot. Overnight at Simikot Elevation 9,246 ft. 2,818 meters. Day 03 : Simikot trek to Dharapori (2364mtr)
After Early Morning breakfast, Get set go for trekking its take 5 to 6 hrs trek to Kermi ( 2364mtr) having lunch on the way. We continue walking through out jungles and villages along the Karnali River towards Dharapori. Overnight atn Dharapori, Humla Trekking Rout

Day 04 : Trek Dharapori to Kermi (2860mtr)
After Breakfast start your day trek to reach Kermi (2860mtr) its take 6hrs. Our walk is on relatively flat trails beginning with the trail alongside the Karnali River. We walk along the fields cultivated mainly with barley, buckwheat, rice and potatoes. There are two hot springs near Kermi where we may soothe our aching bodies. We can also visit ancient Buddhist monasteries close to Kermi --Laikyo Gompa and Lhundrup Choeling Gompa. Overnight in Kermi.

Day 05 : Trek Kermi to Yalbang (2880mtr)
Early morning breakfast start trek to reach Yalbang (2880mtr) Silk Rout. Today’s trek is a flat and steep ascent until reaching a small pass and crossing a suspension bridge over the Salli River. From here one can enjoy views of the beautiful pine trees and the mighty Karnali River. We will also visit the remote Namkha Khyung Dzong Monastery. Overnight at Yalbang.

Day 06 : Trek Yalbang to Tumkot (3073m)
We walk on a trail above the Karnali River. As we ascend further, the greenery begins to vanish and so do the smaller bushes. They give way to pine trees and rocky hills. After reaching Tumkot, we visit Dhungkar Choezom Monastery, one of the most important Sakya monasteries in the Tibetan region. Overnight at Tumkot

Day 07 : Trek Tumkot toYari (3,663m)
Today's trek is on a relatively easy trail above the Karnali River. After walking a few miles we begin to notice the change in climate, vegetation and landscape which becomes more rocky and secluded. The trees that you see are not pine trees anymore. They are now short and low junipers. Overnight at Yari

Day 08 : Trek Yari to Hilsa (3,647m) via Nara La pass
We cross the first pass of the trek today, the Nara La pass (4,620m). The vegetation is bleak by now and the landscape is familiar to that of Tibet. After crossing the pass we will be greeted by excellent views of the beautiful Tibetan plateau and Yari Village. From here on, it is a shaky descent down until Hilsa, a border town which is also a dropping point for the pilgrims on their way to Mt. Kailash by helicopter. Overnight in Hilsa.

Day 09 : Hilsa – Taklakot ( by Jeep )
Having morning breakfast a cross the Karnali bridge( Nepal – Tibet Border). Jeep awaiting to receive the Yatris and drive 1 hrs to reach Taklakot (3770m) : Overnight at Hotel in Taklakot.

Day 10 : Taklakot – Manasarovar ( by Jeep )
Early Morning after breakfast Drive to Manasarover via Rakshas Tal (2 Hrs). After lunch visit to Chiu Gompa that is the oldest Buddhist monastery of that area and is located right at the banks of Lake Manasarovar. O/N in Guest House

Day 11 : Manasarovar
Entire day spent at Manasarovar. Perform Puja, Meditation and enjoy the place. Overnight at Hotel Manasarovar.

Day 12 : Darchen – Diraphuk
After early breakfast, Drive to Yumdwar and Trek to Driraphuk Tarboche (12 kms / 7-8 hrs). Packed Lunch. Dinner and Overnight Camp / Guest House. 
Day 13 : Diraphuk – Zutulphuk ( by trek )
After early breakfast, start trekking to Zutulphuk via Dolma Pass (highest point of entire journey) The distance is 18 kms with approximate time taken 9 -10 hrs. Packed Lunch. Dinner and Overnight Camp / Guest House.

Day 14 : Zuthulphuk – Darchen ( by Jeep )
After early breakfast, trek further for 10 km. (3 – 4 hrs) to arrive at the ending point of Parikrama where jeeps shall be waiting to drive the pilgrims back to Manasarovar for last puja and holy bath. Proceed for the overnight stay at Taklakot. O/N Hotel

Day 15 : Hilsa – Simikot – Nepalgunj – Lucknow
Drive to Sher border and fly back by Helicopter from Sher to Simikot to Nepalgunj (approx arrival time 12:00 hrs) and same day drive back to Lucknow for ownward journey to home town.
